Overview

A simple walk through Washington, D.C., which many have taken to see the sights and visit the memorials and monuments, came to mean much more than just a sight-seeing trip for Newt Gingrich. As he walked, he realized he was on a profound journey of personal discovery and renewal. His first stop was the National Archives, where, while reading the Declaration of Independence, he realized that the author of the freedoms we enjoy was not the Founding Fathers or the government! Our basic human rights and freedoms, which have been the spark for all of America's accomplishments and greatness, were - and are - Creator-endowed. Gingrich sounds a clarion call for us to recognize that the freedoms we hold so dear are inseparable from a sincere and humble acknowledgement that these gifts are only the Creator's to give. A bonus feature includes a 'walking tour' of Washington, D.C.

This was a great listen. It wasn't too long and there was a lot of great history. Gingrich covers all the bases on where our traditions come from. You'll gain a lot insight into the real intent of how the founding fathers saw the country and the direction we need to head in the future. A+++
