General Lee's Army

This book is an outstanding overview of General Lee's Army of Northern Virginia. One can tell of the amazing research that went into this work. There is a lot of details in this book but that only validates the authors conclusions. This is NOT a battle history or overview of the war in Virginia, but a compelling, expertly researched, book that truly details the rise and reasons for the fall of the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia. A great book with a masterful reader!

Some good parts, but too often digresses into matter more fitting for a college thesis, how to make the Civil War seem dull
