Usually this Tedd Dekker captures your attention and you find it hard to cut the CD off but I found at time during this book I was just ready for it to end.
This was such a dark, evil story. I know the Holocaust must have been awful, but the Evil power was very depressing.
Ted Dekker is at his usual best with the plot twists and unforseen events when a man becomes greedy. The suspense is great with the chacters being fully developed with traditional traits. I would recommend this book to any Christian reader. Those who do not have the faith will have an insight to the what can happen to an ordianary man when he becomes obessed.
Usually I like Ted Dekker's books at least enough to listen all the way through. I can't say that for this one. I found the reader to be so irritating and the beginning to be a bit boring, I didn't even bother to finish disc 1.
Ted Dekker is known for novels that combine adrenaline-laced stories packed with unexpected plot twists, unforgettable characters, and incredible confrontations between good and evil. He lives in the mountains of Colorado with his wife and children.
