Overview

Lisa Lutz's debut mystery, The Spellman Files, featuring the eponymous PI family, hit the New York Times best-seller list thanks to its uproarious sense of humor and lovable cast of quirky characters. While investigating her parents' neighbor-because she's sure that he's making women disappear-our brash heroine Izzy Spellman gets thrown into jail. And if she can find her way out of that little problem, that'll only be the beginning of her troubles.

The Curse of the Spellmans was a great continuation of The Spellman Files. The title encapsulates the feel of the family -- there is something that has ahold of these people, even David. Isabel can't decide where this curse wants to take her either. The book has an interesting ending.
