Overview

Aaron, the brother of Moses and the first High Priest of Israel, is usually thought of as part of a supporting cast. In this book, author Francine Rivers elevates him to his rightful place, as a key leader who impacts the faith for eternity.

The Priest begins Francine Rivers's novels on the lives of five men who stood behind the great heroes of the faith, in her Sons of Encouragement series.

So so. This book offered some interesting insights to Aaron, the brother of Moses. Was good but not great

I did not like this book. I was hoping for some depth in characters, plots and sub plots as a good book has. If this is what you are looking for go some place else, like, The Red Tent by I think Anita Diamant. I was hoping to get a personal glimpse into the minds and souls of these historic people instead I found it superficial and weak historically. I still wonder why a loving God would have it's chosen people slit the throat of their own family members???

Another great book by Francine Rivers. She does a great job of bringing the characters to life and staying withing the confines of reality.

While I am a fan of Francine River's historical Biblical fiction, for whatever reason this book did not resonate with me. Unlike many of her other books which I have read, I never felt connected to this book's characters. I did, however, learn a great deal about the flight of the Israelites from Egypt and why they were condemned to roam the desert for so many years. ED.

Very easy to identify with the weaknesses of God's chosen. The same weaknesses have existed throughout time. Good story and uplifting.

Thought this book was really well written as always with Francine Rivers and made the characters of Scripture come to life, I was not not particularly fond of the reading it was given.
