Overview

For Durzo Blint, assassination is an art-and he is the city's most accomplished artist, his talents required from alleyway to courtly boudoir.

For Azoth, survival is precarious, something you never take for granted. As a guild rat, he's grown up in the slums and learned to judge people quickly-and to take risks. Risks like apprenticing himself to Durzo Blint.

But to be accepted, Azoth must turn his back on his old life and embrace a new identity and name. As Kylar Stern, he must learn to navigate the assassins' world of dangerous politics and strange magics-and cultivate a flair for death.

I cant rate the book but I cannot listen to this narrator continue after 5 minutes. It sounds like it's being read computer auto narrating the book.

Similarities between this and Hobbs farseer trilogy got in the way of me getting to know the characters. The narrator did a superb job. But again he read the farseer trilogy also. Kept seeing Fitz king Verity and Molly throughout the book. The characters are so similar. This was a vip choice I chose well. Probably will not complete shadow series.

This story was amazing, I had been wanting to pick it up for years. If you like lies, backstabbing, twists and pure adventure of the shadowy kind, you will love this book.

Great listen! I have read this book years ago and Listening to it was just as good. The narrator has such an easy voice to listen to it had me in a trance most times. Thank you can't wait to continue the series.

Amazing story that starts slow but continually ramps up in excitement until the end. It makes you want more and more. Narrator is the voice of an older gentleman. Hos pronunciations can be a bit weird at first if you've read the books. His voices for men are great but not very varied. In addition the voices for women are little to be desired lol. but overall, he did a fantastic job. Would highly recommend this book if you're into fantasy action with stealth like attributes.

Weeks, Brent
