Distinctly Fun Listening

  • Book Rating: 5/5

This is an old-fashioned adventure novel written for adolescent readers. If you're not in the target age range, you will need to adjust your expectations. Become 12 years old again and enjoy the rapid-fire adventures and near escapes of the leading characters. The events are no less credible than those of a modern adult counterpart like the Bourne trilogy. The measured, distinct pronunciation of the narrator was a pleasure to hear. It was a respite from the machine-gun slurred speech of many of my co-workers.

The reader enunciates each syllable so clearly, so precisely, and oh so slowly that for this listener it was like having teeth pulled. I gave up after the first couple of tracks.
